Davy Lowston Sea Song Sung by Cecil Sharp Folk Choir London

BY Pinny Grylls from London UK

This song tells the story of a Ship's Mate David Loweriston and his fellow sealers who were left on an island in Open Bay ( now Jackson Bay) in Fiordland New Zealand in 1810. They were there for near 4 years before being rescued by Governor Bligh.
